Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 11:45AM Hello!! I've had some good things happen in the last few weeks. There has been reason to celebrate. Now, it's time for me to get back to the work of art making. It's good work and I miss it. I needed to be ready though. I've been dabbling, but now I'm going to take a little bit bigger of a step. I want and need balance in my life. I'm ready for my artistic self to return fully to the scale. I've been focusing on some other really important things for a while now, but I lost sight for a while of how much I missed living artistically. Now, I think that there is art inside of us all the time and it comes and goes as it pleases in many ways. However, I do know that there have been times when I have not given it the attention and nurturing that I believe it deserves. I've been on hiatus with a few blips here and there. Hiatus over.

Well come back, look forward to seeing what you been working o
It was a nice evening during the summer of 2003. My wife and I had just taken our seats at the Germain Amphitheater in Columbus, OH when one of the opening acts began playing. We were talking with friends and generally enjoying the anticipation of seeing the BMG live when a HUGE voice filled the amphitheater. Of course, the band was Venus Hum and the voice was yours. I was blown away by the energy and bell-like clarity of your performance of songs like Montana and others I'd never heard before. It was all before sundown while the place was just beginning to fill up. It was an unexpected pleasure and we left as Venus Hum fans.
Since then, I've occasionally pulled up Venus Hum YouTube videos or sample tracks from your web sites. As good as they are recorded, nothing matches your live performance, particularly the sensory overload of "I Feel Love" with the BMG.
So, once again I stumbled upon something that reminded me of something, that reminded me of something else and one thing led to another to googling Venus Hum and here I am. It seems like a long time to wait, but thank you for your show from over 7 years ago. I hope you continue to make music. Maybe we can plan a road trip to Nashville in November. It would be fun to see Venus Hum again, live.
Hi Annie!!! <3 You, hope you make some fab art! I am too, write me an email!!

Great news, how about giving us an early Xmas present and revealing some news on the music front? Or even better, a recorded version of Wild Horse Island for our greedy ears :P
I've been off the radar for a while, but I am surprised to see Ms. Strean has been off the map since November! Hope she's not abandoning this journal. If we're lucky, she's healthy, happy, and working on something that makes her smile.
I loved you since I first heard you with the Blue Man Group, ( I bet your hear this all the time, I´m sorry). Let me say this again, you are a wonderful singer, a beautiful girl and I would give anything if you write me back, just to know that the girl of my dreams (and I mean you) read this and gave me the chance to say that you are my favorite singer. All this with all do respect!!
Luv U Annette, can´t wait to hear more from Venus Hum!!!!!
You really are amazing and the "I Feel Love" from the BMG video is what gets me through my spinning class sessions!!
HUM ON!!
Mike
